Schrannenhalle Munich, the existing HVAC installation \u2013 in particular the hybrid dry coolers \u2013 had to be temporarily dismantled. Ingenieurb\u00fcro Ingo Geib GmbH (IBIG) was responsible for the planning, coordination and technical supervision of the measure \u2013 from dismantling and setting up a temporary cooling supply on the ground and site management of the new installation on the roof. The operation of the 1.0 MW water cooled chiller in the basement could be maintained throughout the construction phase, apart from a short, technically unavoidable interruption. After completion of the roof works, the two hybrid dry coolers were recommissioned.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div Over the years, technical installations on the roof had become increasingly congested, significantly restricting maintenance and service access \u2013 particularly to the hybrid dry coolers serving the water-cooled chiller. <br>In addition, hydraulic and control-related weaknesses existed within the water-glycol circuit, which adversely affected system performance.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b5cdea e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"7b5cdea\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f0e2b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4f0e2b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Project objective<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f5884b8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f5884b8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">The primary objective was to maintain the cooling supply as far as possible during the refurbishment works, which took place from May to July, in order to ensure continuous operation of Schrannenhalle \u2013 especially the Eataly market and the office areas \u2013 without prolonged downtime. <br>At the same time, identified deficiencies were to be permanently rectified and the hybrid dry cooling system technically optimized to ensure stable, efficient and future-proof operation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b8c009c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"b8c009c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4fccb7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f4fccb7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Implementation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a96ac5 elementor-widget__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0a96ac5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">IBIG surveyed the existing installation to the extent necessary for the project and compared it with the available documentation.
